National Forensics Association

The National Forensics Association held its 2024 Speech and Debate Tournament at Central Michigan University; our graphic design class was then asked to come up with concepts for that year’s theme and posters, as well as marketing materials. Playing off the idea that many schools are coming together in a “showdown” to see who’s best, I thought it could be creative to have a Western theme. I created a sheriff badge-inspired logo for a fun asset to use for advertising. I also replaced the imagery of a gun with a microphone and placed it in a holster to imply the “showdown” is through words. I went through a few iterations, but all were based on Western wanted posters to play off my theme. Ultimately, this theme was not chosen however, I was able to make a campus map with hot spots on campus for attendees to reference while they visited our campus.
